Time to Shine!

     Hi, every one!

    We can't go trip everywhere because of COVID 19 pandemic. If the pandemic ended, where do you want to go? I want to go Tokyo Disney Resort, especially, Tokyo Disney Sea!

   TDS is 20th anniversary this year. TDS was opened on September 4th in 2001. At the same time, MiraCosta Hotel, which is official hotel, was opened.

    Today, there are 7 areas in the park. I'll introduce them.

    First is Mediterranean Harbor. The gateway to Tokyo Disney Sea is an ancient port town in southern Europe. Three areas, which is a fishing village with a beautiful view, a charming town with romantic canals, and a fortress from the Age of Discovery, invite us to a world of adventure and discovery. In the evening, you can see a very wonderful view. There is an attraction: Soaring-Fantastic Flight. I've yet to ride that attraction. I want to ride!

    Second is American Water Front. In the America at the beginning of the 20th century, there are two port cities with different tastes. The vibrant streets of New York come and go by elevated railways and cars. And there is rural fishing village of Cape Cod, where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are some famous attractions such as Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania! and so on. In this area, you can talk with a funny turtle:)

    Third is Port Discovery. A marina of the future that transcends time and space. This is a wonderful future world where nature and science are in harmony. Water vehicles that move in unpredictable ways and fantastical futuristic architectural styles create a whole new world. In this area, you can enjoy some attraction such as Aquatopia and Nimo and friends-Sea Rider.

    Fourth is Lost River Delta. In a jungle of Central America in the 1930, the remains of an ancient civilization have been unearthed. Archaeologists and get-rich-quick schemes began to came there to uncover the mystery and threats hidden in the ruins. We can eat food in their camps and feel like a explorer and experience the dangerous things. Indie Jones Adventure and Raging Spirits are in this area.

    Fifth is Arabian Coast. It's the world of "Arabian Night" shrouded in magic and mystery. You can experience magical things such as Adventure with Sinbad, join the caravan march. Jasmine's Flying Carpet and Magic Lamp Theater are in this area.

    Sixth is Mermaid Lagoon. It's the world of undersea kingdom where Ariel and her friends are living. You can enjoy "Under the Sea" world. Scuttle's Scooter, Flander's Flying Fish Coaster, Mermaid Lagoon Theater in this area.

    Last is Mysterious Island. In this caldera, which hides a scientific laboratory created by the mysterious genius scientist Captain Nemo, various developments are taking place that make possible what people thought was impossible. you can go on an adventure into the mysterious unknown world. 20,000 Miles Under the Sea, Center of the Earth are in this area.

    Yes, Disneyland is fun! But I think too expensive. ☺️

    Try to write A LOT in your blog this year about things that you like! If you do, your English writing skills will improve!

Black Friday

The day after the fourth Thursday in November is called Black Friday. Large-scale bargain sales will be carried out at retail stores. In Japan, big sales are held not only in stores but also in online shopping. I bought two things on Amazon. One is a fire tv stick. It's very convenient, and you can watch paid distribution site, such as U-NEXT and Disney Plus on TV. It was about half price. I think it was a good purchase. The other is Hot eyelash curler. It wasn't discounted, but I bought it because I wanted it for a long time. I haven't received the product yet, but I can't wait! Did you do any good shopping? I want to buy clothes for next year's Black Friday sale.

About 98% Partial Lunar Eclipse

On November 19, did you look up at the night sky? A lot of people were pointing their cameras at the sky. The picture below was taken by me with a single-lens reflex camera at that time. On that day, about 98% of the moon hide in the shadow of the earth, a partial lunar eclipse was observed nationwide. In the lunar eclipse, there are "to-move lunar eclipse" where all, the moon is hidden, and a partial lunar eclipse. According to National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, this time it was a partial lunar eclipse of "almost complete" lunar eclipse where 97.8% of the diameter of the moon enters the shadows. Therefore, it was said that the moon could look red-black like a total lunar eclipse. It was on September 15, 1932 that a partial lunar eclipse with a maximum eclipse of 97.8% or more could be observed all over Japan. The next one is November 21, 2086, 65 years later.

Second Foreign Language

HI, everyone! My faculty also has a second foreign language class in the third and fourth term. I'm learning Chinese. It is difficult for me to learn Chinese, but it is interesting. Chinese is difficult to pronounce. In Chinese, there are four ways to pronounce even if it's the same word. If you make a mistake in pronunciation, it may have a completely different meaning. For example, the pronunciation "MA". It means mother, hemp, horse, Scold. There are four kinds of pronunciation and each meaning is different, so there are many words. Don't you think it's difficult? One salvation is that it's similar to Japanese kanji. If I look at Chinese kanji, I can roughly understand the meaning. My Chinese class is on demand. I thought two-way class would be better, but it's convenient to listen to audio many times on demand. There are three face-to-face classes in one term.
