やさしい英会話(386)-The Power of Cosmetics

Today I listened to "やさしい英会話 (386)". They talked about cosmetics. I made a short story using five difficult words. 

I couldn't put on make up in this morning because I slept too long! My mother didn't wake me up. I understand I bother her and I should get up on myself, but I couldn't.  My friends said, "You look so pale!" They are really insensitive, right? So I said, "Drop it!!"

Speaking of cosmetics, my sister gave me some cosmetics for my birthday present. I use them every day. I'll introduce them.

First is eyeliner. I was using ORBIS's liquid eyeliner, but I couldn't use it well. My sister gave me UZU's EYE OPENING LINER. This eyeliner is really useful! I can draw eyelines easily. I highly recommend this!

Second is quick lash curler. My sister knew that I didn't use an eyelash curler, so she gave me CANMAKE TOKYO's QUICK LASH CURLER. When I use this, the mascara will not be removed easily and the curl will be maintained. If you put this too much, it's hard to remove the mascara by washing your face, so be careful:)

Third is mascara. I was using ORBIS's mascara, but she recommended MAYBELLINE's LASHIONISTA. When I use this, my eye lashes are darken and thicken. This is a very good product.

Fourth is lipstick. I haven't used lipstick frequently recently because I always wear a mask. My sister gave me EXCEL's LIP VELVETIST. The color is brown close to orange, and I thought it was a color I wouldn't choose but I like it because the coloring is good.

Last is a mist. This is not just a mist. If I use it, it's hard to remove makeup. It smells refreshing and cool so it's good for summer. It's hard to move the foundation on the mask, and it's the perfect product for the Corona pandemic that always wears a mask.

    Hi, Kairi! It was interesting to read because it was written in detail about makeup.I'm using quick lash curler too.Now, I want the transparent color of it !! What color of mascara do you like?

      I like black the most, easy to match with fashion and eyeshadow, but brown and green ones are also cute and I want to use them!

The day after the fourth Thursday in November is called Black Friday. Large-scale bargain sales will be carried out at retail stores. In Japan, big sales are held not only in stores but also in online shopping. I bought two things on Amazon. One is a fire tv stick. It's very convenient, and you can watch paid distribution site, such as U-NEXT and Disney Plus on TV. It was about half price. I think it was a good purchase. The other is Hot eyelash curler. It wasn't discounted, but I bought it because I wanted it for a long time. I haven't received the product yet, but I can't wait! Did you do any good shopping? About 98% Partial Lunar Eclipse

On November 19, did you look up at the night sky? A lot of people were pointing their cameras at the sky. The picture below was taken by me with a single-lens reflex camera at that time. On that day, about 98% of the moon hide in the shadow of the earth, a partial lunar eclipse was observed nationwide. In the lunar eclipse, there are "to-move lunar eclipse" where all, the moon is hidden, and a partial lunar eclipse. According to National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, this time it was a partial lunar eclipse of "almost complete" lunar eclipse where 97.8% of the diameter of the moon enters the shadows. Therefore, it was said that the moon could look red-black like a total lunar eclipse. It was on September 15, 1932 that a partial lunar eclipse with a maximum eclipse of 97.8% or more could be observed all over Japan. The next one is November 21, 2086, 65 years later.

Second Foreign Language

HI, everyone! My faculty also has a second foreign language class in the third and fourth term. I'm learning Chinese. It is difficult for me to learn Chinese, but it is interesting. Chinese is difficult to pronounce. In Chinese, there are four ways to pronounce even if it's the same word. If you make a mistake in pronunciation, it may have a completely different meaning. For example, the pronunciation "MA". It means mother, hemp, horse, Scold. There are four kinds of pronunciation and each meaning is different, so there are many words. Don't you think it's difficult? One salvation is that it's similar to Japanese kanji. If I look at Chinese kanji, I can roughly understand the meaning. My Chinese class is on demand.
